Instagram Downloader for Public Posts and Reels

IG

Paste Instagram URL

Public /p/, /reel/, /tv/, and /stories/{username}/{id}/ links are supported. Multiple media items are returned as separate files.

Private content and media blocked by Instagram are not guaranteed. Some story links may return multiple active story items as separate files.

Save public Instagram photos and videos

Paste a link to a public Instagram post or reel to retrieve the photos and videos that Instagram makes available to the service. A carousel produces separate files for its media items. The downloaded files join your shared file manager, ready for another image or video tool.

Cost: Free to use. File size and usage limits apply.

How to download Instagram media

  1. Copy the media link

Open the specific post or reel on Instagram and copy its URL. Choose a media link rather than the account’s profile address. Submit one link at a time; you do not upload a file to this tool.

  2. Paste and fetch

Enter the link in Instagram post, reel, or story URL and click Download from Instagram. Keep the page open while Fetching from Instagram... appears. The service checks the link and retrieves the available media.

  3. Save the individual files

Under Download ready, review each image or play each video, then use its Download link. A carousel has a separate card for each returned item. Open on Instagram opens the source; Copy source URL copies the normalized source link.

Links, files and access

Input
One Instagram URL, up to 2,048 characters. Post, reel and older TV links use /p/, /reel/ and /tv/. A story link includes both the username and the numeric media ID.
Output
Available JPEG, PNG, WebP images and MP4 videos, kept in the format supplied by Instagram. No format or quality selector is needed.
Availability
Use public media that Instagram permits the service to access. Visibility, permissions and Instagram’s access restrictions determine which media can be retrieved.
Storage
Guest results are retained for 48 hours and free-account results for 30 days. Paid plans can provide longer retention. Save a local copy before your retention period ends.

Continue with the downloaded media

The result preserves the source media rather than re-encoding it. Downloading does not add captions, comments, hashtags or a metadata document. It also does not combine carousel items into one video or image.

All returned files are added to the shared file manager. Use Convert Image for an image format change or Video Converter for a video export. To send a file by link, continue with Share Files. You can choose the existing file in the next tool without uploading it again.

Reset clears the field and result display so you can start another request. It does not delete files already stored in the shared manager. There are account-based usage limits; the tool shows a limit message when a request cannot start.

Frequently asked questions

Can I download an entire Instagram profile?

This tool retrieves media from one post, reel or specific story link. Profile pages and bulk account downloads are outside its scope.

How are carousel posts returned?

The available images and videos are returned as separate files, each with its own preview and download link. They also appear individually in the shared file manager.

Does downloading change the quality?

Files are kept as delivered by Instagram. The tool does not re-encode them or recover detail already removed by Instagram’s own processing.

Which content can the service retrieve?

Public media accessible under Instagram’s permissions and access rules. Private, expired or restricted content is outside that accessible set; a URL alone does not grant permission to retrieve it.
